In this video, I share some thoughts on this response that myself and other people with Albinism sometimes hear. Usually heard when we drop the “A” word to describe ourselves and answering those questions and stares we often get.
“You Don’t Look Albino”
What does that mean? Do albinos have a “look”? Let’s discuss… watch it here
Fall is here! And we all know that pumpkin spice is the flavor of the season. I wanted to try this pumpkin spice inspired makeup look just to see if I could pull off an orange eyeshadow. I am very pleased with the results! I wanted to share some of the products that I used on this look…
Lottie For LimeLight Dazzle palette – I used the bold orange on the lid and the yellow gold on my inner corners. I defined the crease with a light brown and dark brown eyeshadow also made by LimeLight by Alcone.
Wet N Wild PhotoFocus Foundation – I heard good reviews about this fairly new foundation. I wanted to try it because it is an affordable option at the drugstore. I selected the lightest shade, Porcelain and it is labeled Fair/Warm. I am fair/neutral but this looked like the closest match. It is a great match and I don’t think it appears warm at all. I was a little confused by the packaging because it comes with a little wand attached to the lid. You can use that to apply to spot it on your face or what I like to do, apply it to the back of my hand. I used a foundation brush to apply it and blend. This foundation has a medium buildable coverage. I liked it a lot and would purchase it again!
i finished this look with a matte brown lip color. First, I applied Vera Moore Cosmetics lip liner in Pecan. Then, I applied NYX Cosmetics Lingwrie lip in Beauty Mark. Don’t be afraid to try a deep lip color. 😉

I picked up some Nicka K products found at my local beauty supply. This mini-haul includes 4 Aqua Lip Colors and Perfect Twenty-One Colors eyeshadow/blush palette.
I have tried Nicka K eye shadows and lip glosses in the past and very impressed with the quality and affordability. So I was excited to try out more of their products. In this post, I will be reviewing the Aqua Lip Colors.
Nicka K – Aqua Lip Color in Navy Blue, Smoky Black, Carnelian, and Old Mauve
I love the sleek and simple packaging of their products. And of course I am a lipgloss junkie. I chose random colors. These are colors I do not normally wear. I think I own enough pinks and nudes but not too many bold colors so I thought why not try something different? I was interested in how much color payoff I could get with these and why they are called “Aqua”. I assumed it is meant to be a wet look gloss.
My first impression of these was “Yes, these are highly pigmented” with one application. I applied them without any base products or lip liner. They actually have a cool, hydrating feel when it is applied to the lips. The finish is ultra-glossy as I expected. The colors are bold, bright and long-lasting. Aqua Lip Colors are available in 18 shades. You can order them at http://www.nicka.com
In my next post, I will be reviewing the Perfect Twenty-One Colors palette so check back soon!
