I created this look with the Fall season in mind. As we approach October, we all know that pumpkin spice is the flavor of the month. I was wondering could I pull off the pumpkin look? Using a bold orange eyeshadow from the Lottie for LimeLight Dazzle palette, I started to play on my lids. I added some yellow gold on the inner corners with light brown and dark brown in the crease. I was already loving this look when I saw how the orange brings out the green in my eyes.
I tried something new with foundation. Wet N Wild PhotoFocus is a fairly new product that was released _____. I chose the color Porcelain which is labeled Fair / Warm. I am a fair / neutral and typically I find that colors labeled as “porcelain” in other makeup brands is usually too light for me. This was actually a very good match for me and I didn’t think it appears warm. The formula is Medium/Full buildable coverage. I was confused about the packaging. I guess it has a wand with a little paddle on the end that you can spot on your face. I used the wand to apply it to the back of my hand and then applied it to my face using a foundation brush. Overall, I was satisfied with this foundation for the quality and it’s affordable price. I purchased this foundation at Rite Aid drugstore.
I finished up the look with Pecan brown lip liner by Vera Moore Cosmetics and topped with a chocolate brown matte lip color called 10 Beauty Mark from the NYX Lingerie lip collection. Muah!

I picked up some Nicka K products found at my local beauty supply. This mini-haul includes 4 Aqua Lip Colors and Perfect Twenty-One Colors eyeshadow/blush palette.
I have tried Nicka K eye shadows and lip glosses in the past and very impressed with the quality and affordability. So I was excited to try out more of their products. In this post, I will be reviewing the Aqua Lip Colors.
Nicka K – Aqua Lip Color in Navy Blue, Smoky Black, Carnelian, and Old Mauve
I love the sleek and simple packaging of their products. And of course I am a lipgloss junkie. I chose random colors. These are colors I do not normally wear. I think I own enough pinks and nudes but not too many bold colors so I thought why not try something different? I was interested in how much color payoff I could get with these and why they are called “Aqua”. I assumed it is meant to be a wet look gloss.
My first impression of these was “Yes, these are highly pigmented” with one application. I applied them without any base products or lip liner. They actually have a cool, hydrating feel when it is applied to the lips. The finish is ultra-glossy as I expected. The colors are bold, bright and long-lasting. Aqua Lip Colors are available in 18 shades. You can order them at http://www.nicka.com
In my next post, I will be reviewing the Perfect Twenty-One Colors palette so check back soon!

Here it is! My first purchase from Anastasia Beverly Hills. I’ve heard a lot about their products but had never actually tried them so I decided to get a few things. Watch to see what I got in my makeup haul!
I went on a little solo trip traveling from Baltimore to DC to see Grammy Award Winning R&B singer, Mya perform her Smoove Jones show live at The Howard Theatre. Her newest album, released on Feb 14 has been on heavy rotation in my playlist. Mya put on an amazing live show and I was literally on the edge of my seat singing along to some of my favorite 90s R&B jams as well as her newer material. After the show, she held a Meet & Greet with fans. It was so nice to meet her! She is really a lovely spirit. Even though, at the time I couldn’t actually SEE her due to not having my contact lenses (legally blind VIP or visually impaired person haha). I was using my white cane that day. It was nice to meet her face to face. She asked me how old I was. I guess, because everyone thinks I’m 14. LOL Thank you Mya for an amazing concert experience! This really uplifted my mood. I was celebrating independence and liberation. Sometimes you just have to get away from it all and dance to the music.
