Hi, Hello! Wow, it’s been a really long minute since I’ve shared on the blog. I am so sorry to have left you waiting! I have been lurking around on other social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. You can find a lot of my content there. But I do not mean to leave the blog bare. I do plan to share more here again. I have a lot to update since the launch of my brand Ivoree Beauty and so many other things I have been involved in. I hope you my blogger peeps have been doing well and I hope you will join me again here on the blog. x peace x
What’s going on with my hair? Well I’ve put down the flat iron in the past year and I have been strictly no-heat due to the damage on the bottom 5 inches of my hair. It’s completely fried straight (cries) but NO WORRIES! I had the opportunity to try out Entwine haircare products and the results came out favorable. The product line is meant to be BS-free, educating and promoting healthy hair growth. It is a vegan line of products and I was very pleased with my experience using it to style my hair. I did a video that you can watch on YouTube or IGTV.
Have you heard of Entwine? Let me know your thoughts if you have tried it or interested to try it out.
Treating myself to a mani + pedi at @lenoxspanyc, a relaxing spa offering a variety of services including organic gel polish options. Check out my review! Lenox Spa & Nails is conveniently located on E 62nd St & 3rd Ave in NYC.
I stopped in at the 1st Annual New York Cares Coat Drive Pop Up to drop off a coat donation. Helping others who are without coats every winter is very important to me because my kids and I were once recipients of coat donations during a difficult time. Rapper and actress Niatia “Lil Mama” Kirkland, who is a native of New York, has made a guest appearance at the pop up. I arrived shortly after her appearance so I didn’t get the chance to meet her but it’s wonderful that she is giving back to her city by supporting this cause! You can support the cause too by texting COAT to 41444 or visiting http://www.newyorkcares.org/coats for more information. The pop up is open through Saturday 12/21 until 7:30pm at 111 3rd. Ave. New York, NY.

Earlier this month, COVERGIRL announced some exciting news. The brand is now the largest makeup company that is certified cruelty free! COVERGIRL has also opened a flagship store in NYC right in Times Square. I visited the store on its opening day and I also got to attend the VIP launch party with other beauty influencers (I met 2 of my favorite beauty Influencers @laur_elyse and @itsmyrayeraye) and celebrities (it was so awesome to meet Ayesha Curry! She’s super sweet!). The party included music by DJ @Vashtie.
The store is amazingly fun and interactive. It includes makeup artist stations, a Magic Mirror where you get to try on different COVERGIRL products using augmented reality technology, and video booth and customized merch booth. Check out my YouTube video to hear more about the new store, PR unboxing and what I purchased at the COVERGIRL store.
In this video, I share some thoughts on this response that myself and other people with Albinism sometimes hear. Usually heard when we drop the “A” word to describe ourselves and answering those questions and stares we often get.
“You Don’t Look Albino”
What does that mean? Do albinos have a “look”? Let’s discuss… watch it here
Wow! Last night I attended an exclusive launch party (thanks Influenster!) to celebrate the launch of Sunday Riley’s new foundation “The Influencer”. This party was off the chain fun! Including an oversized adult playground, candy, drinks, beauty demos and so much more! You can view my story recap on YouTube here
Who is Sunday Riley, you ask?
It was my first time experiencing this brand and I am very impressed with the luxury skincare
I got to try and take home my shade of The Influencer foundation. Shade 110 (fair with pink undertones) was a perfect match for me! The formula is good for any skin type. The makeup artist prepped my skin with a Sunday Riley face cream and I could instantly feel how this product hydrated my skin. I have dry skin and prepping my skin before applying makeup helps so much for a long lasting, hydrated, flawless finish. She then applied The Influencer foundation in my shade. It was a great match with medium-to-full coverage. This is a nice foundation that comes in a tube pump. I wasn’t crazy about the packaging but it’s easy to toss into your bag compared to a foundation in a jar or bottle.
After my makeover, I headed to the photo booth for fun video shoot clip. I felt fabulous! Thanks again, Influenster and Sunday Riley!
I had a wonderful afternoon at the Make Up For Ever Pro Winter Lounge in NYC! See photos from the event on Instagram
